The CTO cartridge is a top quality American 'Carbon Block' Cartridge which is the ideal basic cartridge for the removal of chlorine, bad taste, and odour.

 

Made from solid extruded activated carbon, it is very effective at providing high quality drinking water and is far superior in its performance to the similarly priced Granular Activated Carbon ( GAC ) cartridges or bonded Activated Coconut fibre cartridges such as the Sapphire.

 

Having a 5 micron filter,  it will not remove all Giardia or Cryptosporidium cysts.
If removal of these is important, the CBC10 cartridge is the best option.
