The PB1 extruded activated carbon filter reduces soluble lead using an ion-exchange filter medium with a high specificity for soluble lead. Particulate filtration is used to intercept insoluble lead particles.

 

It has outstanding Chlorine, Taste, Odour and Chemical reduction. The 0.5 Micron filter size removes Dirt, Sediment, Rust and Algae, as well as Giardia and Cryptosporidium cysts.

 

The filter medium consists of activated carbon particles fused into a uniform block with enhanced adsorptive capacity and efficiency.

Note:  We use a high quality cartridge casing which compared to other brands does withstand water pressure and water hammer well. A pressure limiting valve is only required where there is very high water pressure over 120 psi or 840 Kpa. Most installations do not require a pressure limiting valve.
